THE BORNEO INTERNATIONAL YACHTING CHALLENGE (BIYC) IS BACK!

Organised by the Malaysian Yachting Association, The Borneo International Yachting Challenge (BIYC) is back for its 10th season this year on the 26th and 27th of July 2013. The BIYC hopes to attract more participants this year by coinciding with the Sail Malaysia Passage to the East Rally.

The BIYC is classified as category 3 and caters to 5 boat categories including racing, cruising, sports, classic and ocean multi-hull. Teams from around the world come together to take part in this competitions which takes them from Miri to Labuan and ending in Kota Kinabalu. The teams will race around Tanjung Aru beach, the city waterfront and Tunku Abdul Rahman Park.

The competition will end at Sutera Harbour Marina where the harbor race and prize giving ceremony which takes place on 27 July.
