SUTERA HARBOUR RESORT CELEBRATES ANOTHER CHEERFUL YEAR
The Magellan Sutera Resort's main lobby was filled with cheerful vibe, and merry faces as it's time again for their annual "Christmas Tree Lighting" ceremony on last Friday the 29th of November. The grand lighting of the humongous Christmas tree was anticipated by, not only the locals, but also by many of the tourists there.
The guest that night was greeted by a scrumptious selection of foods, from the exquisite Choux Puff with crab meat to the coveted roasted turkey with sage stuffing. Gluhwein (means Glow Wine to the Germans), which is a warm red wine infused with various spices, was the crowd's favorite.
The guests were then given a candle each after a short speech from Mr. Ravi Kathiravelu about having faith, believe and hope, which were then lighten up by the children from Good Shepherd Welfare, Kiulu before the Christmas tree slowly lit up. The children serenaded the guests with their innocent voice singing two Kadazan Christmas songs, a German song "O Tennenbaum" and ending it with the more classic "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" and "Mary's Boy Child".
Among the VIPs present there were YBhg Datuk Yee Moh Chai and wife YBhg Datin Vicky Yee and the President of Sutera Harbour Resort, YBhg Datuk Edward Ong and his wife YBhg Datin Enung Njoman.
Surely the echo of the children's voice singing Christmas hymns and the light on the Christmas tree is just a perfect start to the merry month of December.
