CHEAP EAT: FAMOUS BAK KUT TEH PLACES IN KK!


Bak Kut Teh (white bone tea) is also known as Pork Rib Soup using various Chinese herbs such as Dang Gui, Star Anise, and Cinammon to marinate the pork and the soup is slow boiled for a few hours with pork bones to achieve that perfection in taste. It is often serves with mushrooms, tofu puffs, garlic, white rice, Yao Zhe Guai (Chinese crullers), along with stir-fried vegetables with oyster sauce in a clay pot. It is a significant dish throughout Asia and the soup itself also serves as health care purpose to cure tiredness and boost blood circulation etc. Here are a few famous Bak Kut The restaurants that you should not miss in KK City!

Kedai Kopi Lai Heng Bar Bak Kut Teh is located at Foh Sang, Luyang. You might say “Oh no! It’s gonna be hard to locate!” But no worries, bak kut teh lovers! It’s at the same row as KFC, you won’t miss it!


Man Li Hiong Bak Kut Teh is located at Damai Plaza. It’s not at the city centre like the previous mentioned joints but if you happen to be nearby, you should definitely dine here.


Sin Kee Bak Kut Teh, is right opposite of OCBC Bank, Gaya Street. We have proof that this is a bak kut teh hot spot! We love to “lepak” here too so trust us about this.


Yu Kee Bak Kut Teh is located opposite Jesselton Hotel, Gaya Street.
