EUROPEAN UNION FILM FESTIVAL (KK) 2013 PREVIEW SCREENING NIGHT

Welcome Address by H.E. Luc Vandebon (EU Ambassador)

The Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia celebrated the opening launch of European Union Film Festival (KK) 2013 in GSC Suria Sabah yesterday with a preview screening of heart-warming fantasy drama “A Christmas Story”, (Finland).

His Excellency Mr. Luc Vandebon, Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to Malaysia said that “The European Union Film Festival is another way for us to extend this close link and share our rich heritage with the people of Sabah. The Film Festival has become the largest cultural event for Europe in Malaysia. Driven by the strong support and interest from moviegoers in Kota Kinabalu last year, we did not hesitate to return to your beautiful shores once again,”

He also added “The films showcased are not only a testament to European creativity, they also strongly represent diversity – an ideal that both the EU and Malaysia values.”

The European Union Film Festival 2013 is featuring 23 award-winning movies and documentaries from 20 European countries at GSC Suria Sabah Kota Kinabalu from December 5 – 11.
