TOURIST HOT SPOT: KDCA CULTURAL VILLAGE

Relive the past by visiting the Sabah Cultural Village (KDCA) where you can witness how the ancestors of the native Sabahan once lived their lives. You'll get to see how they do things back then with their traditional equipment and their homes that was built exactly how it looks like decades ago.

The cultural village is located inside the Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) Hongkod Koisaan in Penampang. It's about 15 minutes away from the Kota Kinabalu city center. The ancient history of the four main Kadazandusun tribe in Sabah which are Dusun Tindal Kota Belud, Dusun Papar, Rungus and Murut, are made immortal in this village.

Getting There:

You can get to the KDCA by bus or taxi. With bus, you need to get aboard bus number 13A, headed for Penampang/Donggongon which will cost around RM1.60 per person. But, do inform the bus driver in advance to dropp you off near KDCA. Taxi on the other hand will cost around RM30 per taxi. So, if you're with three other friends and you want to avoid the hassle, share the taxi fare.
