TOURIST HOT SPOT: MONSOPIAD CULTURAL VILLAGE
Monsopiad Cultural Villange is made up of various traditional buildings of the Kadazandusun tribe which makes any visitor feels like they're revisiting the past. This is where the some of the most fearsome warriors once roam nearly two centuries ago.
Kotos Di Monsopiad or the Monsopiad Main House was erected in remembrance for the lives of the Monsopiad descendants. You can also see a lot of the traditional items that the Monsopiads were using before, like the Tangkob or the Grainer, their ceramic jars, their rice grinder, their bamboo items, the traditional costume of the Bobohizans and the best of all, visitors can see for themselves all of the 42 'trophies' that the headhunters had collected over the years living there. And by trophies, we really meant the skulls.

If you have the extra bucks, you can just ride a taxi from the city center directly to the village. A taxi would cost around RM35.00. If you wanna save those bucks, then take the number 13 bus from the temporary bus station in front of Marina Court (beside Promenade Hotel) to go to Donggongon town, where you'll be taking another minibus headed to Terawi. Tell the bus driver beforehand your destination to make the dropping off much more easy. If taking a taxi or riding the bus is too much hassle for you, then you could give the village a call and inquire about their shuttle bus schedule.
